LETTER FROM THE OWNERS

Over the last three and a half years, we have been blessed with the opportunity to surround ourselves with some of the most creative people in the country. Our goal has always been to develop an inspiring, supportive environment that gives everyone involved with Soda the chance to express themselves. From the salon, classrom and gallery, to magazines, television and film, our team has done more than we ever dreamed possible. Our greatest source of pride has been the assembly of a group of individuals who are just as passionate as we are about repaying our community through involvement with many deserving charities. We are excited to share these inspiring stories and wonderful personalities in this magazine. Thank you for supporting our Soda family, and thank you for allowing us to grow and share ourselves with you in this issue and issues to come.

A note from the designer

Thanks to all of you who have given feedback on the first edition of the magazine–which helped take this issue to the next level both in content and design. I have particularly enjoyed gathering tips from the stylists and the folks at Caudalie and presenting them in a useful way. So many times we buy products with little knowledge on how to use them. I hope the unique educational approach presented on these pages is a useful resource to many.

I have been working with Erik and Tracey since the beginning of Soda and often dreamed of an outlet to share the creativity that surrounds Soda both inside and outside of the salon.
As a designer, this is a dream. Of course, this is just the beginning. Enjoy! Calvin Ulery
