Tracey started in the industry doing makeup for film, television, music viedos, print and runway shows. Tracey's first experience in hair and makeup design started at a very young age working with theater productions. Tracey continued her education with Vidal Sassoon-Santa Monica, Toni and Guy-Long Beach and Redken Exchange in New York. The world's most renowned product companies in producing salon systems and products have requested Tracey's work. Tracey has been featured in Vogue Magazine beating out fierce competition around the country.

Before the creation of Soda, Erik and wife Tracey became art and marketing directors for a series of award winning salons in Atlanta, where they continued to dominate with their creativity in various media forms, designing photo shoots, and educational programs. They have become highly sought after stylists after working with actors/models from around the world who have been in all the top magazines, seen on popular television shows, and award winning films. Erik and Tracey traveled around the country teaching for Grund, together they developed new techniques in cutting and coloring for stylist to work with their salon environments. In 2004 Erik and Tracey Pearson decided to revolutionize the salon enviroment. They assembled a team of some of the industries most talented hair and makeup stylists to form Soda.
